When Are Implants Applied?

Implants are applied in the absence of a single tooth, single or double-sided natural tooth loss, to support a few remaining natural teeth or in patients who have lost all their natural teeth. Patients who have lost their natural teeth for any reason want the treatment period to be short and at the end of the day, their new teeth will imitate natural teeth in the best way possible. The retention of a total prosthesis made without support from implants, especially for the lower jaws with a lot of bone loss, will be weak. Patients complain of such a prosthesis that constantly moves in their mouths. At this point, the best solution that the dentist will offer to his patient is the ‘implant’. With implant application in single tooth loss, a fixed prosthesis can be applied without touching the patient’s healthy natural teeth adjacent to the cavity.
